Funny Connor
When I am all grumpy, Connor says, "I can make you laugh" and makes this face. What is so funny about it, is that HE believes this is truly the most funny thing in the world.
Yesterday I recycled the dozen cans of old paint, registered Con for kindergarten, and had Carol over to look at the house. She helped me "stage" it a bit. We have a showing this afternoon, so hopefully it will go good, but more importantly, the house is now in shape!
Johnny got news he is going to an important basketball game, and won't be around to be my dance partner at the Hootenanny. Super sad, right? I promised people he would be there to set up and tear down, and possibly take his shirt off while doing that. He also got a hair cut AND shaved yesterday. What an exciting day!

LOLs
This is for Jessica. Sometimes it is painful to read her facebook and text messages. I'm not saying I'm perfect, but jeepers, just once, I'd like to see her get it right. If I can learn the difference between "borrow" and "lend".
Here we are in front of my new house!
Yesterday we had ECFE in the morning. In the afternoon I took a car load of stuff to Carol's home. Christmas decorations, glasses and pictures. Returned The Lorax to the library. Real sad to not read it for bedtime. It has been bedtime story for about a month now, and by complete coincidence the Lorax movie comes out in a week, so we will for sure be going to that one! Went to the Y.
Came home, worked on the basement. I have pretty much a car load ready to go to the Household Hazardous Waste site. Gotta take Kindergarten registration in as well, so I will try and do it tomorrow during Preschool times.

New Clothes
All these shirts/sweaters/dresses were $2 a piece at JCP in Winona AND La Crosse. Some of them, the original prices were over $120! (I know, those are JCP prices, and everything is always at least 40% off.)
These clothes were the ones from Express and a kiddo store at the mall. The gray shirt was from a children's store in the La Crosse mall for the Connor. Even he gets stylin' new clothes.
Then Daisy feels the need to lay down on my new stuff. Sigh.
Yesterday we had an awesome playdate at my friend Tammy's home. Connor had a lot of fun playing with her girls and boy. He really liked their toys, girl toys are so different than boy toys. He did not understand how to work the American Girl dolls very well.
In the afternoon I picked up a zillion pounds of Daisy poop. Good thing, since it snowed last night. Just enough to make things yicky. Afterwards, I had Body Pump, but I was all sore from being hunched over picking up poop, and then got called out for bad form and not doing enough reps.

Legos
Connor is super into Legos. He really likes building cities. The other day, he had me go downstairs to help him, because he wanted me to make "letters". It took some talking, but I figured out he wanted me to make the letters "KFC" because he was building a chicken restaurant. How funny is that?
Yesterday we went to two open houses. One old Victorian type on 6th street. Folks from Winona, probably know the one I'm talking about. It has been "under construction" since I've moved here. It was cheap, so we thought we would check it out. It's cheap for a reason. It's actually really tragic the state the home is in. It looks like someone tired to fix it and ran out of money badly.
We also went to another lovely home on 5th by Windom park. I am IN LOVE. John is going to take some convincing. It is so lovely. The wood is so pretty, it could make me cry! There is an adorable carriage house with an tiny apartment. I think I will just hide in there, it can be my time out room.

We also went to the YMCA and let Connor run around the fun center while Johnny and I played cell phone games. (I know, that sounds bad, but Con wants to play with his friends, not his lame-o parents.) Connor's button on his pants broke, so they kept falling down. I found a rubber band and fixed them enough so he could keep playing. There was a boy from his Preschool there, so that was fun for him.
We came home and watched Star Wars. I fell asleep (since I am still epically sick). We did so much laundry. 4 loads. That is like a dozen loads for folks with a "standard" washer. It is clear Badger fans live here, I did a whole load of "reds". (darks, whites, colors and reds)

Micro Machines
Connor has been playing a lot with John's old Micro Machines. He's been having a great time with them. They are on the pool table so I can keep close eye that he is being gentle.
Today we went to La Crosse. We totally cleaned up at JCPenny's, so much so, we went to the one in Winona. I will have to take a picture. They had tuns of stuff for $2. I think we got like 10 sweaters for $2 a piece.
Connor went to Tyler's birthday party in afternoon. He gave him a light saber, and I guess that was the thing to gift! Connor saw his old friend from last summer - Cora. He told me he was happy about that, but didn't really talk to her. I think he had a hard time.

Bed
He was hiding, but not doing a very good job of it.
Johnny had basketball last night, and his team did real good. Like always.

Colors
Connor was telling me about how he learned about color mixing at school, so we decided to do some on our own. I made up blue, yellow and red water with food coloring, and he mixed them from there.
Today I went to Body Pump in the morning. Connor brought a box of Valentines with and work on filling them out for his friends there. I'm still sick, but have been self medicating away.
